In only her second year of teaching here at CHS, Andrea Pieh (French teacher) is already forming a large base of adoring students.

“She’s a really good teacher; she takes time to explain things. Plus, she’s really funny,” Ally Cora (9) said.

Pieh is the only French teacher here at CHS, leaving her with the heavy burden of having to teach all four levels of French.

“It’s hard work, but somebody has to do it; I don’t know how I do it,” Pieh said.

She also finds many different ways to make her classes interesting as well as very educational.

“We’re watching The Lion King to learn more. We’re watching it because it’s different, we’re listening to authentic French, and we’re improving our vocabulary,” Pieh said.

Her students also find her way of teaching very enriching.

“We use puzzles and games to learn new vocab, it’s really fun,” Cora said.

With her unique teaching methods and fun personality, Pieh will probably be around for quite some time.

“Next year with her will be fun, I look forward to having for her again,” said Bryce Knight (9).
