The girls JV volleyball team had tough competition Saturday as they pulled off a victory against their two biggest rivals, Elkhart Memorial and Warsaw.
This was an accomplishment, as the junior varsity team has not beat Memorial since 2004.
“It means a lot and it shows a lot of our hard work that we have gave to a winning season and we beat our two biggest rivals,” Kelly Hale (head JV coach) said.
Every coach and every player had a different view of how they played the game. Hale is proud of the team’s work.
“We did a good job. We played as a team and we were the aggressors of this game,” Hale said.
But not only did the girls volleyball team play their two biggest rivals, they played a total of four teams. The girls held their own by winning the Memorial tournament and taking home the trophy.
The girls ended the season 12-5 and finished with a victory match against Clay High School on Monday.
