Last night at Wawasee, the girls swim team emerged victorious, raising their record to 4-1.

“There were a lot of good races,” Jane Coudret (girls coach) said. “It was really close for a while, but we pulled out at the end.”

The girls seemed excited about their victory.

“I think that was probably the most spirited meet we’ve had,” Paige Conder (11) said.

Amanda Ginther (9) had some great races and stuck out as a large contributing force to last night’s excitement.

The win has sparked some great expectations for sectionals and the rest of the season.

“We had a lot of good match-ups,” Gabby Ziebold (11) said. “A lot of people went their fastest. That’s good because we’ve been lifting weights Tuesdays and Thursdays in the morning, and we’re still getting faster, so that means we’re just going to be that must faster for sectionals.”

Come watch the girls next Tuesday, December 12, at Elkhart Memorial. The meet starts at 4:45 pm.

“It should be another big one for us,” Coudret said. “They’re pretty good this year.”
