Boys swimming steals three wins at NLC Prelims

At the CHS pool last night, CHS boys swimming stole three wins during the NLC Prelims. Alex Burtch (10) won both the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:50.2 and the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.55. He was the only competitor last night that won two events.

Bobby Durkin (12) swept away the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:01.87. He also took third in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:05.73.

Also placing individually for the team was David Rose (12), who secured sixth in the 100 butterfly and fifth in the 100 backstroke, Brad Schrock (12) who placed fifth in the 500 freestyle and Jim Schoeffler (12) taking fourth in the 100 breaststroke.

These boys will continue on to NLC finals at the CHS pool on Saturday, January 26. Diving begins at 9 a.m. and swimming starts at 2 p.m.
