National Library Week causing fees to be eliminated

As the end of the year is approaching many students, specifically seniors, are starting to worry about fines that are due to the school. One fine that is outstanding to most students is library fines.

“National Library Week is April 15-21, and we are celebrating it [National Library Week]. We are trying to do something for the students to recognize the media center,” Rita Ritzler (Media Center Director) said.

For the next three days the library has a new temporary policy. They will be accepting late books without charging a late fee.

“As a gift to the students, overdue books that are returned between Tuesday and Thursday will have the fines removed,” Ritzler said.
