Before their last home game, a new member of the team Kiara Slabach talked about her experience and reflected upon the year.

“It’s gone pretty good, and we just keep getting better,” Slabach (9) said.

As a freshman, Slabach has established herself as a dominate player on the team, but unfortunately she got injured.

“At practice I was sliding in to second base and broke my foot,” Slabach said.

Incidentally Slabach is out for the rest of the season, but she still loyally comes to practices and games to support the team.

“We had to fill the spot, which we did pretty well because a lot of people can play a lot of different positions,” Slabach said.

Slabach explains how the team has adjusted to accommodate her injury.

“We’re pretty deep when it comes to that, and all of our players can play different spots,” Slabach said.

The girls ended their home field season with an overall record of 9-11.
