On Friday the 17 of August, The Minutemen traveled to East Noble for the first game of the season. They played hard, but could not pull through with a win. The final score was CHS 12 and East Noble 16. Mr. Tim Dawson (coach) said, “They played very well; just some special teams mistakes but that’s normal for the first game. Also with new faces on the team.” East Noble played hard on defense and offense. ” They used a lot of long drives to take time off the clock,” Mr. Dawson said.

Many things contribute to the game and the hard work at practice. The CHS football team doesn’t have a lot of returning stars from last year. “It hurts us, but we have some good incoming talent.” said Josh Westlake (11).  Junior quarterback David Yoder leads the team on Fridays and sophmore Garret Peterson leads the team on Saturday mornings. With new talent and hard work, the Minutemen should pull through with a good season.
