On Friday the 31st of August from 4-7 p.m. outside of the Activity Center, the Concord Adult Athletic Booster Club is having a Corn and Sausage Roast.  Members consist of CHS parents, former parents, and members of the community and they are always recruiting new members.

“The purpose of the Concord Adult Athletic Booster Club is to promote and support the athletic programs at the Concord Community Schools by working with the school, staff and the athletic department,” according to Bonnie Neff, treasurer of the club.

The Booster Club raises money for the Athletic Department for new equipment and also for the Dan Livergood Memorial Scholarship Fund the club also is at every home game working in the concession stands.  The scholarship goes to as many senior athletes as possible. Last year, seven seniors were awarded the scholarship.  Athletic senior students just need to fill out an application and qualify to become a in the running of receiving the scholarship.

“We’ll have the Corn and Sausage Roast and we are hoping to have a good turn out and the Booster Club is always rooting for Concord Athletics!,” said Neff.

All profits for the Corn and Sausage Roast go towards this scholarship program.  Adults are $6 and children under 12 years old get in for $3.  So go to the home game and support CHS and the Booster Club for a good cause!
