Can you hear me now?

During resource period on Wednesday, sophomore students were called down to the Media Center to receive a hearing test. This test is mandated by the state for sophomore students. Mrs. Price (speech/hearing teacher at Concord East Side) directed the event and kept it in order as students rushed in to get their next test over with. Price was not alone in her task of placing earphones over the students’ ears and making them raise their hand as they heard the soft and sometimes loud beeps, she was accompanied by all of the Concord schools’ speech and hearing teachers. When students finished, they were told that they either passed or failed. If a student failed, they must retake the hearing test later on this school year. After hearing the results, the students headed back to class to complete the rest of the seven hour school day.
