Concord Marching Band invitational

After their performance at the Goshen High School Marching Band Invitational, the Concord Marching Minutemen are getting ready to host their own 26th annual invitational on Saturday, September 15. With 20 bands coming to compete and Concord marching last as an exhibition performance, the Concord invitational is an even that band members look forward to as a chance for improvement.

“I think we’ll do well,” Courtney Hemminger (11) said. “I can hear the band doing things like crescendos, but we still have to work on musicality.”

Not only are the students ready to improve their already well-developed show, but the directors are excited to see what the band can do, as well.

“My goal for the band is to be able to march parts one and two, which willbe more than half of the show, and hopefully we can improve our performance from last week,” Gay Burton (Music Director) said.

Tickets for the invitational will be on sale at the entrance to the football field, and will cost $6 for adults and $4 for students, preshoolers, and senior citizens.  A schedule can be picked up in the music office or can be viewed online at
