5:01 – The Board approves the intent to sell bonds.

4:59 – Randy Myers (school board member) is disappointed that no local contractors were lowest bidders, but the motion to approve the contracts carries.

4:50 – A man representing Electrical Workers Local 153 is voicing objections over awarding the electrical bids to Fort Wayne contractors. He claims that although the Fort Wayne contractors are technically cheaper, awarding it to a more local area would be more beneficial. One of the architects of the new junior high cites bidding laws — the lowest bidder must be awarded the contract.

The man contends that Schwartz would be better since they are closer and better to the community.
